Forget Cannes, The Real Fashion Is Happening At Wimbledon RN & Here Are Our Fave Picks

Weren’t we told that a huge shift would be noticed in the “new normal” that is unfolding right now? Speaking of the fashion scene across the world, the prediction has surely hit the bull’s eye. Case in point? The lackluster Cannes red carpet that has been replaced by flamboyantly-dressed celebs at the Wimbledon 2021. Seems like ‘court side’ is the new ‘front row’ now. Given the awesome wearable fashion looks that we just spotted, it would be kinda nice if it stayed that way for a while.

Hot Right Now! Top 7 Fashion Looks From The Wimbledon 2021

Kinda done with all the digital fashion weeks and toned-down red carpets that have transpired in the last year or so? You gotta check out these seven uber-chic looks from Wimbledon 2021:

Priyanka Chopra

Instagram

From her Ronald van der Kemp BAFTA separates to her Dolce & Gabbana naked dress at Billboard Music Award, this has been a year of perfectly maneuvered fashion looks for Priyanka. She has managed to maintain the streak at Wimbledon as well. The Quantico actress attended the Wimbledon Women’s Singles finals in a printed Fendi midi that is currently winning the internet. The snakeskin printed outfit featured an asymmetrical hemline, turtle neck, and a flowy silhouette that was nicely cinched at the waist with a matching belt.

We can imagine Priyanka’s breezy outfit swaying delicately by the breeze as the diva might have sauntered by the court. Wimbledon style done right, we’d say. PC finished off her look with a tan tote, gold hoops, and statement sunnies. Keeping up with the understated albeit statement vibe of the outfit, the actress opted for a high bun and berry lips.

Natasha Poonawalla

Sitting side by the side with Priyanka Chopra at the Women’s Singles finals was socialite Natasha Poonawalla. Always the fashion maven, she left everyone gaping with her rare (not to forget freaking expensive) Hermès Sac Faubourg. Perfectly complementing the vibrant bag was her Gucci pantsuit featuring flared trousers and a fitted matching jacket with black piping. If you ask us, we love how the outfit has the sharpness of a pantsuit playfully done by the night suit-like details. This is one hell of a look provided you sport an ‘I’d carry it come what may’ attitude just like Natasha here.

Kate Middleton

Instagram

In what can be best described as a Dianaesque moment, Kate Middleton stole the show at the men’s singles final dressed in a belted pink midi. The Beulah crepe dress exuded a stately appeal, courtesy of its mandarin collar and the buttoned bodice. Below the belt, the A-line dress was left nicely flared in wide panels. The Duchess finished off the look in her nude Aldo ‘Nicholes’ heels and her Josef Point de Beauvais embroidered clutch bag. From the practicality of this modest outfit to the elegance, there isn’t one thing that we don’t like about this look.

Pippa Middleton

Taking the gingham route for her Wimbledon outing, Kate’s sister Pipa Middleton gave us a summer-perfect look from the court. Her wrap-around dress featured puffed sleeves, a plunging neckline, and an adorably knotted front belt. It was easily one of the most versatile looks that we spotted on the courtside and can easily take you from AM to PM sans any tweaks.

Phoebe Dynevor

Instagram

Giving us a glimpse of the post-pandemic glamm, Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor showed up at a Wimbledon match last Saturday in a figure-hugging olive Self-Portrait dress, white sandals and, hear us you all, no bra! The bodice of her plunge neck dress featured a crisis cross pattern that nicely complimented her petite frame. She finished off the look in matching off white sandals and a handbag. The message was clear–bras? Optional!

Kathryn Newton

Instagram

Providing a welcome break from the array of nudes and pastel hues, Kathryn Newton took over the Wimbledon stands in a rather vibrant cocktail dress. She paired her mustard floral Ralph Lauren silk dress with a solid orange cardigan and matching heels. The actress carried a matching Ralph Lauren mini handbag to finish her look.

Romeo ‘The New’ Beckham

Instagram

After Victoria & David, the second generation of Beckhams is all set to claim the fashion scene and Romeo made it to Wimbledon to prove just that. Giving us a taste of some solid high street fashion, he layered up his olive green shirt with a khaki jacket. He completed the look with a pair of basic denim and black shoes. The highlight of the outfit for us? His faded parrot green socks peeking nicely from the ankle-length denim. His model girlfriend, Mia Regan complimented the look in acid brights and guess, we need to take some couple fashion notes here.

Lastly, as the choice of fashion haunts changes from red carpets to sports events, the overall mood is changing as well. We sure as hell are liking the entire ‘fashion but make it wearable’ vibe now and hope it continues to go big this season. What do you think fam?
