A Jatt Boy And A Marathi Girl – This Love Story Is The Sweetest Ever!

It all started with a vintage gramophone for Shweta and Arjun. Yes, it might sound unusual but that’s exactly how it all began. The duo comes from completely different backgrounds – Arjun is a Jatt from Meerut, Shweta is a Marathi mulgi. But when has that been a barrier in a great love story?! As a gift of love, Shweta found the exact vintage gramophone Arjun longed for and that’s how Arjun knew he had found his soulmate.

What followed next was a perfect proposal at the iconic Eiffel Tower, which Shweta couldn’t say no to! And that led to the most dreamy destination wedding in The Laxmi Niwas Palace, Bikaner, Rajasthan. Captured beautifully by WeddingNama, this wedding was all things royal. Here’s a look at their journey that was planned beautifully by The Wedding Designers.

The royal photoshoot

With the beautiful Bikaner Fort in the backdrop, this looks straight out of a romantic Bollywood song sequence. Not only the setting, check how beautifully the couple coordinated their outfits in shades of blue and red.

The Mehendi

Let’s start with the decor first. The entire courtyard was decked up with beautiful golden yellow chiffon curtains with tons of marigold flowers.

The mehendi had some stunning performances by the local folk artists like kachi ghodi, ghoomar and matki dancers. To sum it up, it was an afternoon dipped in Rajasthani traditions.

And we love that glow on the bride-to-be’s face!

Did we say that we actually fell in love with that blouse design? We are taking it to our tailor, right NOW!

The Sangeet

The sangeet took place at Lal Chowk. Adorned with crystals, gold lanterns and floral chandeliers, it was a fairytale come true.

Such a fun couple!

The Haldi

A haldi ceremony next to the pool – it doesn’t get any better, right? Add to that the pool facing seating arrangements completely draped in marigold flowers.

Our fave bridechilla moments…

The outfits

Shweta opted for a traditional red lehenga and a customary Bikaneri look for her wedding and nailed it! The maang tikka, the nath, the makeup, the jewellery – everything was on point! It wouldn’t be wrong to say that she made one of the cutest brides we have seen.

Arjun, on the other hand, picked a beige embroidered bandhgala to coordinate his look with Shweta.

The venue

The entire venue was decorated with beautiful rajnigandhas, jasmine, red roses and looked beyond royal.

The groom’s entry

Why should only the bride’s entry be grand?! Arjun first got on to a chariot, then got off it to shake a leg with his friends and family. He then made a gala entry in a black vintage car.

If you thought Arjun made a dhamakedaar entry, the not-so-shy bride danced her way to the mandap.

And here’s the picture perfect Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge moment!

We wish the couple a lifetime of love, fun and adventure! Cheers!
