Men are conditioned by the society to keep their emotions to themselves. And that includes jealousy. Expressing that they are jealous is usually a BIG deal for men. That puts women in a tough spot because we have to guess and figure out when our man might be feeling jealous (because, of course, we never intentionally want our partners to feel that way). 1. ‘Oh, so it will be just you and him?’

He does trust you but chances are he doesn’t trust the guy you are hanging out with. Especially if it will be just you and him.

2. ‘Yeah, you should go…if that’s what you want!’

He does not want to stop you from going out, obviously. But he would just prefer it if you were staying in!

3. ‘Oh, that reminds me, I am going out with *insert girl’s name* next week.’

And no, he wasn’t until you told him you are going out with a guy…

4. ‘What time are you reaching back though?’

He is usually not worried about you staying out late but suddenly even 8 PM seems quite late to him!

5. ‘I’m not jealous or anything. I’m just saying it’ll get pretty late.’

He makes sure he stresses on the fact that he is not jealous. Because he is not. He is just worried…or at least, that’s what he wants to believe.

6. ‘I could come pick you up, you know?’

Just to make sure you reach home safe and sound…alone.

7. ‘How come I’ve never met him?’

This way he can judge whether the guy you are hanging out with is actually competition or not!

8. ‘Call me once you’re back, I’ll be up anyway, watching a movie.’

He is probably just gonna stare at his phone until you call but no, you cannot know that!

9. ‘MY girl looks so pretty today!’

A subtle emphasis on MY to remind you how much he loves you…and also marking his territory.

10. ‘Is that all you guys talked about?’
