As if smart phones, smart cars and even smart microwaves weren’t enough, we have just been introduced to the world’s first ever smart condom. (I am already feeling dumb if it counts). A British company just released pictures of the smart condom called i.Con, a device that has the power to record your partner’s performance in the bedroom – or wherever else you intend to get it on.
The i.Con is basically a ring that can be worn on top of a condom and around the base of his penis. It sits on the base of the condom and records data while your man thrusts into you. There are a host of things this product is claiming to do such as measure the number of calories while having sex (this is important because it will debunk a lot of myths), the speed of his thrust and the total number of thrusts and how long a man can last depending on the type of sex position.
The most bizarre bit? It has a neon light that can light up both your private parts.
While the company has not committed to a release date, we are confused whether or not we want our partner to own this. While it can end the braggery by men forever (The boys who proclaim “I can last really long in bed, “I am great at sex” or “I am a beast in bed”), it can also provide our private data to random strangers – all you need is the band and the app on your mobile. Only time can tell if our intimate moments will be getting “smart”, too.
