Sunday Shorts: 3 Tales About Lust That Turned Into Love

1. One Night Stand

“But where are you taking me?” I asked him as I sat in the passenger seat of his car, blindfolded.

“Almost there,” he said and within a few second the car came to a halt.

He got out of the car, opened the door for me and helped me out.

Then he opened my blindfold and I saw myself standing in front of the seaside shack where I had had my first one night stand…with him.

“I never thought we would come back to this place, and I had never imagined that there could be a ‘WE’ someday. But here we are, so…”, he said as he got down on one knee. “Will you marry me?”

2. … And I Said, Yes!

“Why haven’t you been answering my calls and texts? I was so worried. Are you okay? Is something wrong?”, he demanded, as soon as he walked inside my room.

“Yeah. I was just busy. Please just go,” I replied and turned away from him.

“I will, when you tell me what’s wrong!” he said, glowering at me.

“Nothing is wrong… Except that when you were away last weekend, I missed sleeping next to you, more than I missed sleeping with you. I kept thinking about the way you look at me, stroke my hair, and discuss the world over a cigarette. I kept wondering if anyone would ever make me feel, the way you do…”

“No, no one ever will make you feel like that. I won’t give them the chance to.” And then he kissed me.

He asked, “Are we okay, now?”

And I said, “Yes.”

3. Come Back To Bed

“Why are you doing this?”

“Why am I doing what?”

“You said you wanted nothing serious, you said it so yourself. Why are you walking away? Come back to bed. “

“I can’t.”

“Why not?”

“I know I told you that I wanted nothing serious but I do now. I can’t come back to bed because I’ve fallen in love with you.”

“Come back to bed. I love you too. I have since the beginning.”
