#MyStory: He Asked Me To Go Down On Him… In A Movie Hall!

I met him at one of my friends’ birthday party. He was accompanying his then girlfriend to the party but seemed more interested in talking to me that evening. Of course, I took it as a compliment and continued the conversation in a very normal, non-flirty way. I was smitten by him, I won’t lie. He was a genuinely good looking guy who seemed to be more interested in talking to me than being with his girlfriend. But, nevertheless, I understood that him being interested did not change the fact that he had a girlfriend and it would be best for me to just have a conversation and forget about it.

So a week later, when I received a text message from him, I was mildly surprised. He told me how he got my number from our mutual friend because he ‘absolutely could not stop thinking about me’ after that night. He also told me how he and his girlfriend had broken up, that things hadn’t been going well between them for a while and they had mutually decided to call it off. After that, we started talking over the phone on a regular basis. All those good morning-good night texts, phone calls in the middle of the day – we were doing everything an ‘almost’ couple does.

After 2-3 weeks of continuous talking, he asked me out on a date. We met for lunch at a fancy restaurant in Connaught Place in Delhi, and it was actually quite fun. Our conversation wasn’t dull and boring; he could make me laugh and yeah it helped that he looked super hot in that dark green shirt. After lunch, while we were just taking a stroll, he suggested we go for a movie. It was around 3 in the afternoon and even though I had to head back home on time, he convinced me to watch it for as long as we could. ‘If you really need to rush, then we’ll just leave the movie halfway,’ he said. Though I wasn’t a huge fan of the idea, we had nothing else to do and it was a hot June afternoon, so I decided I might as well (also he was paying, so…).

Ten minutes into the movie, his hand ‘accidentally’ touched mine and we both blushed. ‘Do you mind if I hold your hand?’ he asked shyly. A smile crept up on my face as I replied, ‘Yes’. Things were going perfectly, just the way they should be on a first date!

The hand holding had turned into arm cuddling half an hour into the movie. My head lightly rested on his shoulder and I had almost thought ‘This is too good to be true!’ when he whispered ‘Isn’t it great that the hall is so empty? It’s almost like it’s just you and me!’ ‘Yes…’ I said looking around at the almost empty theatre. There were a couple of people seated in front of us and that was that, ‘…this is the best way to spend some alone time!’

‘Are you up for something naughty?’ he asked. ‘I really should have popped that mint if you wanted to kiss!’ I teased him.

‘You would be using your mouth but you won’t need a mint for this!’ he replied.

‘Really? How is that?’

‘You know, I am talking about you going down on me!’

‘WHAT?’ I was loud enough for the people who were sitting a few rows ahead of us to look back. He gave me a half chuckle before saying, ‘Are you going to be shy about this? I could finger you as well if you like!’

My mind started whirling. Was this guy really asking me to give him a blowjob on our first movie date together? And expecting me to let him finger me? Was he really being so open and vocal about this?

I’m not the kinds to say no outright to kinky things, but it was just a little too much for me to process that he asked me to go down on him. We had just started to hold hands and he was asking for oral sex?!

‘Are you out of your mind?’ I said, taking my hand away from his. ‘Hey, it’s just an idea. You don’t have to do it’ he emphasised, like he was doing me a favour by giving me an option. I looked away from him at the screen and sat frozen for the next five minutes, trying to make sense of what had just happened and how I was supposed to handle this. ‘Are you really angry?’ he finally asked. I looked at him, and there were so many things I wanted to say, I wanted to abuse him, possibly even land a slap across his face. I wanted to give him a piece of my mind, how this was so unexpected and unnecessary and annoying! He had a sheepish smile on his face and looking at it made me feel so nauseated that I finally got up, picked up my bag and left, without saying a word.

He didn’t follow me out. He messaged me apologizing for what he’d done the same evening but I never replied. A few days later I heard that he had gotten back together with his ex-girlfriend. The mutual friend we had apologized about what had happened,‘I am so sorry. I shouldn’t have given him your number. He was just looking for a rebound!’

Though I had an idea that he was looking for a rebound and I would be one, I wasn’t expecting it to be a rebound on the very first day! It was, no doubt, the worst first movie date I ever had but some days I do wish I could see him once again… just to say all those things I really wanted to but couldn’t that day!
