How To Make It

Step 1: Melt the coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax and jojoba/ sunflower/ lavender or any essential oils you have chosen together in a boiler or pan. Heat it gently and not with a very strong flame.

Step 2: Once done (you will know when the shea butter and beeswax is melted), allow it to cool a little.

Step 3: Add the zinc oxide and vitamin E oil to it. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients combine together.

Note: You should wear a mask for this step to cover your nose and mouth. You don’t want to directly inhale zinc oxide.

Step 4: Pour into a jar to store and keep it in the refrigerator. It’s really that simple!

How To Use It

Feel free to apply liberally on your skin!

POPxo Tip

Remove the zinc oxide, and this makes for an awesome home-made lotion recipe too.

If you have a mild moisturizer that isn’t laden with chemicals that you use religiously on your skin, simply add zinc oxide to it. Voila, your moisturizer is now a sunblock!
