Karan Johar asked Arjun if he and Malaika are planning to get married any time soon, to which Arjun replied in the negative, and said that he wants to focus on his career. He stated that a lot of his happiness comes from his work and that he would like to be more stable professionally before tying the knot. “No. And honestly, because it has been two years of this lockdown and COVID and whatever was transpiring. I wanted to focus on my career. I would like to see where I am going.”
He further added, “I am a very realistic person, Karan. It’s not that I need to hide anything, I am not sitting here and being coy. I really would like to be professionally a little more stable. And I am talking about financially. I am talking about emotionally. I would like to do work that makes me happy, because if I am happy, I can make my partner happy. I can live a happier life. And I feel a lot of my happiness comes from my work.” TBH, his answer makes a lot of sense!
While we often see celebrities dodging questions about their relationships on Koffee With Karan, Arjun’s candour was quite refreshing! As for Arjun-Malaika’s wedding, looks like we’re going to have to wait, but we’ll make do with their adorable pictures on social media for the time being.
