5 Beauty Tips Katrina Kaif Swears By For Glowing Skin

Katrina Kaif is one B-Town figure who I turn to for all kinds of advice. The all-knowing actress has a lot to say, and I love that about her. She even talks about skincare and beauty at length, and I have picked up multiple tricks and hacks from her to make my skin glow.

You might want in on these tips, and I’m not one to gatekeep. Here are 5 of Kat’s pearls of wisdom!

No Need For Facial Tools

Katrina forgoes Gua Sha and rollers — turning to Eva Fraser’s ‘facial’ workouts instead. This technique is as old as the hills — simply forgotten because, according to Kaif, we’re constantly looking for something new. All you truly need is a mirror, your fingers, and a little patience.

Smudging Your Kajal Is A Must

Katrina often smudges her kajal for additional depth and effect. She suggests applying kajal on your eyelids, close to your lash line, before dipping a brush in a pot of eyeshadow and pressing it on top of the kajal. Another trick she learned from an MUA involves smudging the kajal on the upper lid too. This, she believes, makes the eyes look softer and more defined.

Don’t Be Anal About Makeup Brushes

Blend your foundation, concealer, and other products with your fingers if you’d like. Katrina explains that you don’t necessarily have to know what brush is meant for what part of your face and blending with your fingers does the magic. This is true because the warmth of your fingers allows the product to diffuse across your skin much more seamlessly — making for a smooth, airbrushed finish.

Dunk Your Face In Ice

Katrina regularly dips her face in a bowl of ice-water for a couple of seconds. This is a fool-proof technique for depuffing the eyes, calming inflammation, tightening the skin, and making you look awake and bright even if you haven’t slept very well. You can do this in the morning right after waking up.

Never Underestimate Your DIYs

Though Katrina is all for high-end, luxe skincare, she’s never given up on her DIYs — the best one being one where she mixes honey and oatmeal to moisturise and exfoliate the skin.

See? That’s how simple it is.
