Kangana Ranaut Vs Media: The Actress Refuses To Apologise, Instead Begs For A Media Ban

After declaring war against Bollywood for nepotism and ‘chaploosi’ (bootlicking), and boycotting to work with the industry’s A-listers, Kangana Ranaut has found a new enemy, this time, in the media.

The Manikarnika actress and her sister-cum-spokesperson, Rangoli Chandel, have shared a video message on Twitter and Instagram in response to the recent events that occurred at the press conference of JudgeMentall Hai Kya. During the press meet, Kangana got into a heated argument with journalist Justin Rao.

Post the incident, the Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India decided to boycott Kangana Ranaut by not covering her or her work in the press. They wrote a letter to Ekta Kapoor, the film’s producer, to “Demand an official statement condemning the inappropriate actions of Ms Kangana Ranaut at your film’s song launch event.” Read the entire letter here:

So, Ekta released an official statement of apology in light in her film’s nearing release on 26 July. She wrote:

This, unfortunately, didn’t cool things off as expected because the apology didn’t come from Kangana. Now the video shared by the Ranaut sisters earlier today has made things worse. In the video, Kangana has clarified that she won’t apologise to the journalist.

Furthermore, she has rambled on calling the media “nalaayakon, deshdrohiyon, bikao”. She compared journalists, I’m sorry, “pseudo-journalists” to termite expressing how they are anti-national and unsecular, and thus, “chindi” and “sasta” (cheap). Here’s her entire statement:

Whoa!

Not just that, the 32-year-old actress asked for a media ban because she doesn’t want to be responsible for media’s bread and butter. “Please mujhe ban karo kyunki main nahi chahti ki meri wajah se tum logo ke ghar ka chulah jale,” she said.

After Kangana’s response video went viral, Rangoli took to Twitter and wrote:

The Kangana Ranaut vs the media case has gone way out of hands now. However, we are yet to see how the media is going to respond to her video message.
