Jodie Whittaker's Look As The 13th Doctor Has Us All Excited!

Hush, do you hear it? The whoosh and the ‘wheeee’ and the ‘doo-weeee-doo’ in the wind? If you’re a die-hard Whovian as I am, you definitely know what I am talking about. We’ve all been waiting with bated breath for the new adventures of our beloved Doctor from the popular sci-fi show Doctor Who, and Twitter erupted with joy as we were rewarded with the news of Jodie Whittaker taking over the spot from Peter Capaldi to be the 13th Doctor of the series.

Not only was it a celebration of an actress taking on the role of the protagonist that has always been played by a male actor, reactions also poured in on Whittaker’s acting prowess (you may remember her as Ffion from the Black Mirror episode – ‘The Entire History of You’), and who her companion may be, given that all the past Doctors had several female companions who were loved, dissed, and disliked in equal measures.

In their latest update on the series, BBC One released the poster of Whittaker in her latest avatar, and someone please pinch me, because the 13th Doctor is slaying her look, and it’s like all my powerful, iconic female-lead-in-a-series, dreams come true!

Of course, I wasn’t the only one flipping out courtesy of Whittaker’s marvelous new look. Twitter burst forth with its opinionated takes before you could even say ‘EXTERMINATE!’
