J.Lo’s New Nail Art Involves A Pedicure… And Swarovski Crystals

Leave it to J.Lo to put a pep in the step with a milk-chocolate pedicure come Christmas. Leave it to the singer to dip the toes in a heavy-handed sprinkle of rich-girl crystals right after. Jennifer has truly stepped out of her comfort zone with this one. But enough of the play on words. Because the manicure is glorious, and it’s such a winter-girl staple (minus the Swarovski, of course). While nail-artist Tom Bachik is almost always whittling and pigmenting J.Lo’s lacquers, this pedicure is a first of its kind, and it screams cold-weather season. Check out J.Lo’s nails now!

J.Lo’s Pedicure Is Bedazzled With Swarovski Crystals

While J.Lo’s milk-chocolate nails boast a luxe-looking aesthetic thanks to the rich-girl embellishments reclining atop them, it’s the choice of colour that adds a bit of festivity to the pedicure. It almost feels like you’re sipping on a cup of cocoa on Christmas — such a winter nail-polish colour. Though Tom Bachik didn’t butter the nails with patterns or stickers, he bedazzled the toes with a heavy-handed flick of Swarovski crystals that mirrored the shape of a snowflake. The itsy-bitsies sat around the outer corners of the toes gloriously in all of their winter-ish glory.

Replicate the aesthetic by drowning the nails in a splash of hot chocolate-brown nail paint. Go in with a glossy top coat and finish with some gems and rhinestones, and you’re done.

While J.Lo almost always opts for a plain, neutral-toned manicure, she has embroidered the nails with sparkles and accessories galore in the past. This iteration is recent, and it displays an all-white aesthetic punctuated by chains, hearts, piercings, and other itsy-bitsy embellishments that elevate the appeal of the one-toned aesthetic without stealing from its simplicity. Bachik has adorned one of the nails with Jennifer’s initials; thrown in hearts and pea-sized rhinestones; pierced some of them, and added chains across and over.

If you want to DIY the look, all you have to do is paint your nails white, and work some charms into the equation. While piercing the nails might not translate well at home, you can try adorning each lacquer with hearts and gems using nail glue — think gems, stars, hearts, snowflakes, and more.

If you’re going in for this pedicure, you might want to wear your best open-toed heels for the rest of the month.
