For the uninitiated, Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently spoke about how he wanted Ranveer Singh to play Sanjay Dutt’s role in Sanju and not Ranbir Kapoor. Vidhu, apparently, was unhappy with director Rajkumar Hirani’s pick. He thought Ranveer was a better choice.
And now Ranbir has a very honest reply to his comment. In an interview with a daily, Ranbir said, “I don’t know about his regrets and anything of that kind. But I am really happy that it came into my life. And it came into my life when I was really in need of inspiration. You know. It’s a luxury that every actor finds inspiration in every film they do. This came with that. So, I am very happy that it came into my life.”
I wasn’t expecting Ranbir to be so calm and mature about it but guess he doesn’t want to stir any controversy before the release.
And now that Alia has come into his life, the film is not the only inspiration. *wink wink*
