Are Guests Really Not Allowed To Bring Their Phones To The Ranveer-Deepika Wedding?

After a lot of back and forth about whether our favourite Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are actually tying the knot in November or not, things seem to have cleared up after Kabir Bedi congratulated the two on Twitter. And now we can officially not keep calm, because DeepVeer are really getting married on November 20 at Lake Como in Italy.

Up until now, all we were relying on were rumours and hazy reports about the wedding details. Ranveer and Deepika apparently always wanted an intimate wedding ceremony, with only family and very close friends in attendance. This is also probably the reason why they chose a quaint destination in Italy for their wedding celebrations.

But, all of us remember how pictures from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s “secret” wedding were splattered across social media the very next day. Despite their best efforts to keep the wedding a close-guarded secret until the last moment and picking an offbeat destination, the wedding did make its way to Instagram. And it seems like Ranveer and Deepika have learnt a lesson from that and have decided to take some steps for the same. If reports are to be believed, they have asked their guests not to bring their cell phones to their wedding venue. Here’s what the report in a leading entertainment tabloid stated:

“They have asked guests to not bring their cell phones to the ceremony. Considering the fact that it will be a destination wedding, there will be fewer people and all the arrangements will be in place. While the two, in all likelihood, will share pictures with their fans eventually, they hope this step will help them guard their privacy.”

Well, that is some measure to stop their pictures from getting leaked on social media. Smart move, DeepVeer. But we are just a little concerned about what their guests will have to say about this. Even though both Deepika and Ranveer are very open with their PDA on Instagram, we can understand why they would want to celebrate their most special day with only their nears and dears, away from the intrusive eyes of the rest of the world.

Well, let’s hope all goes well at the most awaited wedding of the year, and Deepika and Ranveer get the celebrations of their dreams.
