#MyStory: He Wanted To Go Down On Me During My Period!

It was Winter and in between late office nights and stay-at-home weekends, I had somehow found a date for myself. He was a colleague’s friend and just like me, was looking for something casual. I didn’t quite know what ‘casual’ entailed but I knew I was up for it anyway.

Wearing a red hot dress, similar to this one from KOOVS (Rs 1,295), I met him for the first time.

We had a couple of drinks, hit it off and decided to meet again. Before this, I had always played safe with my dates. Never texting them first, only meeting if they asked me out and of course, never initiating sex. But after dating a man for four years, I had decided that this time I was going to take more risks.

The second time we met for drinks after work and he asked me if I wanted to go back to his place, I agreed. It didn’t take us long to get comfortable with each other. And before I knew, we were in his bed, kissing and making out. His hands were on the zip of my pants when he stopped and looked at me, waiting for a nod of approval.

I was so into the moment that I would have nodded without any second thoughts, but there was one issue. “Um…” I said, “The thing is I am on my period today.”

“Oh,” he replied, the disappointment taking over his smile for just a second. “Well, that’s okay…” he said, bringing the smile back “There are other things to do in bed!”

I laughed “Really? And what do you suggest?”

“Mmm, well we could go down on each other?”

“You want me to give you a blowjob?” I asked, a little shock creeping into my voice.

“Yeah, I mean, I will be returning the favour, of course.”

For a minute, I was dumbfounded. I don’t mind oral sex, I think it’s amazing. But what part of ‘I am on my period’ did he not understand?!

“Why? Is that an issue?” he asked when I spoke the same words out loud.

“What do you mean why is that an issue? I am bleeding, and you want to put your mouth there?”

“I don’t know, I’ve never done it, but I am open to the idea.”

I pulled my face a few inches away from him to check if he is joking. He was not. Here was a man I had met only a couple of days ago offering to go down on me while I was on my period. I couldn’t decide whether that was slightly creepy or slightly sweet. I ended up deciding it was a mixture of both.

“Well, I am not very open to the idea. If you don’t mind, I’d rather just stick to kissing tonight.” I finally said. “If that’s how you want it!” he smiled and kissed me back.

We didn’t last long. And in retrospect, I think it was more creepy than sweet. But, hey, I got a good make-out session and an even better story out of it!
