10 AWESOME Grooming Tips For Your Fiance (Send This To Him!)

While brides have got to look flawless and the most beautiful on their wedding day, why should the groom look any less than the best? After all, it’s his wedding day too and the groom is as much in limelight, right? So here, we give you 10 grooming tips for the groom that’ll ensure he looks as dapper as ever! Brides-to-be make sure to share this with your to-be-hubby!

1. Cleanse well and regularly

This is probably something you do anyway but choose the right kind of cleanser that maintains the pH balance of your skin and removes all the dirt properly. Make sure, no matter how exhausted you are due to wedding preps and all the celebrations, that you wash your face before you go to bed. Follow this by moisturizing your face well, making the skin supple and well hydrated.

2. Exfoliating is a must

Twice a week, make it a point to exfoliate your face with a scrub. Use the ST. Ives Apricot Scrub which works wonders. Wet your face, gently scrub your face in a circular motion so as to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate your skin. This will keep pesky black and whiteheads at bay too.

3. Water can do wonders

Needless to say, keep yourself hydrated. Drink 2-3 litres of water on a daily basis and watch your skin glow on the big day. Drinking enough water will also ensure that you get no zits at the time of the wedding.

4. The right kind of hair gel/ wax

Firstly, choose the kind of hair wax or gel that you have tried and tested and one which works best for your hair. Secondly, no matter how slick you want your hair to look on the D-Day, using extra product is not the solution. This will lead to your hair eventually looking oily and unflattering. Be wise, guys.

5. Plan the facial fuzz details

Be it an elaborate moustache or a stubble, plan with your barber how you want your facial hair to be on the wedding day. Whatever trimming and fixing is required should be done 3-4 days prior to the wedding so that in case something goes wrong, you have the time to fix it before the wedding day. Of course, if you want the clean-shaven look, use a new razor blade on the wedding day and raze the facial hair thoroughly.

6. Pluck those brows

Not everyone gets this done, but guys, trust us, this can make a world of difference to your look. If you’re okay with that unibrow or bushy eyebrows, go ahead without having them plucked. The other option is to go to a trusted parlour person and have him/ her pluck your eyebrows and neaten them out. No we don’t mean get them shaped like us girls, but plucking away a unibrow or trimming long hair will definitely make you look neater and better groomed.

7. Book a mani-pedi

Who said a mani-pedi is just for girls? Well groomed nails, hands and feet are always a plus, whether you’re a man or a woman. Go to the salon and soak your hands and feet, guys. This will remove the dead skin layer and soften out your hands and feet. Trust us, you’ll be surprised at how great you feel. Make it a point to moisturize afterwards because the photographer will definitely be clicking that ring on your finger!

8. Get your haircut in time

Do not wait for the last day for your haircut, guys. Freshly cut hair hardly looks great on men. Get this done 4-5 days before the special day and dazzle all your guests.

9. Impress with those pearly whites

With multiple photographers and flashlights in place, you don’t want your teeth to look dirty and badly kept. Go to the dentist a fortnight before the big day and get a teeth cleaning or polishing treatment done. Smile away for the shutterbugs, guys.

10. Get some sleep, guys

Last, but not the least, no matter how crazy the wedding planning and functions have been, make it a point to get 8-9 hours of sleep before the big day. Lack of sleep can lead to dark circles and redness in the eyes – not something you’d want on your shaadi, right?
