5 Awesome Ways You Can Transition To A More Natural Beauty Routine

As someone who spends money on makeup & beauty products as if I’m a royal descendant, I find myself quite disturbed when a particular product doesn’t work in my favour. And if there’s one thing that I’ve learned from constantly experimenting and exposing myself to new products is that not every product is meant for everybody.

You can make it rain money, but it still might give you a reaction you shall never forget. My advice? Opt for more *natural* options as mother nature has the best gifts to offer!

Choose The Natural Way

As someone whose mom always loves to put tamatar, kheera, aaloo ka rus and whatnot on my face, I can tell you that going au naturale is probably the best thing you can do for your skin.

You should choose the natural way as the products are cost-efficient, easily available, perfect for people with sensitive skin. Most of these have multiple uses and the best part- you already own ’em all!

Going Nuts For Coconuts

Coconut oil is simply ah-mazing! Sunburn, chickenpox scars, skin allergy, teeth whitening- is there anything that cannot be done with coconut oil? Coconut oil has nourishing properties which makes it a perfect choice to go natural in the hygiene department.

Everyone knows that how much our hair loves this magical oil. It makes your hair stronger, combats hair fall and even acts as a natural conditioner. Due to its hydrating properties, you can use coconut oil as a body lotion too. Use 5-6 drops all over your body after a long bath. Coconut oil is a saviour for people with eczema or psoriasis too.

Did you know you can also use it to remove makeup?

Baking Soda For The Win

Baking soda is one ingredient that can suck the oil out of your face and help banish pimples. Mix it with a few drops of water and use the paste as a spot-correcting treatment on your face. You can also mix it with natural coconut oil for DIY teeth whitening toothpaste. You can use it as a face, scalp and body scrub too!

Gimme Some Sugaa

This super sweet ingredient is perfect to shoo away the dead skin. Take a pinch of salt and mix it with natural coconut oil to create a lip scrub.

You can also mix it with another natural ingredient, salt to exfoliate your body. Mix eual parts of sea salt with equal parts sugar and that’s it. You can add essential oils such as Lavender essential oil or lemon oil for a spa-like experience.

Apple Cider Vinegar

First of all, if you suffer from Urticaria like me, this apple cider vinegar should be your new best friend.

Coming back to its natural benefits, apple cider vinegar can be used as a natural hair rinse as it helps remove dirt & oil buildup in the scalp. If you need an astringent to treat acne, mix equal parts of it with water, pour a few drops on a cotton pad and apply on the affected area.

In Essential Oils We Believe

Essential oils have been around for thousands of years and their amazing therapeutic properties cannot be ignored. There are dozens of essential oils available in the market that provide the most amazing result when mixed with a specific ingredient, to combat a specific ailment. For eg, tea tree oil works wonders for people who have acne on their face or to help fight off dandruff, orange essential oil helps reduce scars and dark spots, lavender oil is amazing for people who have anxiety or suffer from migraine.

The best part about opting for a more natural skincare routine is that you don’t have to stray too far from your kitchen. And most of the ingredients are so cheap and readily available!
