As Producers Gear Up For Digital Releases, Here Are Six Films That We Can’t Wait To Watch

Earlier this year, producer Dinesh Vijan took the tough call of releasing Irrfan Khan starter Angrezi Medium on Amazon Prime within a month after its theatrical release. A first in the cinematic space, the call had to be taken because of the film’s poor box office collections owing to the coronavirus crisis. And while many other producers have kept the release of their movie stalled through the lockdown, it looks like they are beginning to change their minds.

Recently, Shoojit Sircar directorial Gulabo Sitabo was slated for an OTT release amid all the pandemic uncertainties. Likewise, overseas film producers are also beginning to consider the idea of online release with some illustrious names coming forward and taking a plunge. Coronavirus has drastically altered the world as we know it and clearly, the film industry has also been affected. Now, the best thing to do in the present situation would be to rejoice in the fact that we’d be able to enjoy some of the finest cinematic picks within the comforts of our homes.
