Nooo! Daisy Shah’s ‘Not SO Daisy’ Floral Dress Had Major Guldasta Vibes & We’re Speechless

If you thought the foolproof options guarantee a win at fashion outings, it might be time to think again. Case in point: Daisy Shah’s recent tryst with florals, a design element that is a go-to for most people. The actress’s latest look incorporated the wardrobe must-have and yet fell flat, a not-so-foolproof iteration, if you may.

Daisy Shah’s OTT Outfit

Well then, continue to scroll to see what it was all about. Fair warning though: it’s a bit much!

Floral Fashion Faux-Pas

Stepping out all decked up for a party, Daisy Shah thought of opting for an outfit that featured all-over print. So far so good? We don’t blame you for thinking that, except that the actress’s choice of print was a bit off just too much. Repeated flowers in bright pink, green, white and more made an appearance, as did details on the sleeves and frills near the hem. Overall, you ask? Quite the fiasco.

It’s not that floral prints are not an uber-stylish option to venture out in but given the garish details that made up Daisy Shah’s fit, we would rather not. Accompanied by the satin-y sheen and a frumpled appearance, the floral dress did not hit the mark. On the accessories front too, the Bollywood actress’s picks were off-key. Though we loved the Dior sling and the choice of hoops, the towering heels did nothing to add anything to her look. For those looking to make a splash this party season, we would suggest wearing your florals without overpowering your appearance. How to manage it? Scroll for the details but before you do, don’t miss out on the failsafe accessories for the virtual shindigs.

Florals On-Fleek

Want to know how to get florals right? Read on!

—An all-over print can be overwhelming to the eye. Use your judgement to layer with a solid colour in order to balance your look.
—In case of dresses with thin straps, you can go ahead and layer a sweater or polo neck underneath, a trick that will keep you cosy while making for a striking look.
—In case you aren’t into all-over florals, opt for a dress that incorporates placement patterns, a subtle yet stunning alternative.
—Accessorise minimally; you don’t want an OTT styling that is an eye-sore!

For those on the lookout for great options in floral dresses, rest assured, for we found some interesting versions for you to look at. What’s to wait for, scroll and add to cart!

Let’s hope that’s all there is to the faux-pas in 2020.
