#BeautyOnABudget: 15 Makeup Products That Cost Less Than Rs 199!

Makeup is an art, a beautiful way to express yourself and if you know anybody who believes otherwise, just blind ‘em haters with your highlighter.

Every day is a new day to play with makeup and create magic on the beautiful canvas, that is your face! And just like me, if you too love to hoard luxury brands, you know that sometimes you’re paying way too much for a pretty regular product.

Makeup can cost a tiny fortune sometimes but who said you need to burn a hole in your pocket to slay? Here are some makeup essentials that cost less than Rs. 199. These will give you a full face of glam, on a budget!

Are you ready to add to cart? We know, we are!

Primer

Applying a primer is the first step to ensure that your makeup goes on smoothly and you look snatched. A good primer not only minimizes the appearance of pores but also ensures that your foundation glides on smoothly, adheres to your skin and stays in place all day.

And if you do not have a primer handy, you can always use aloe vera gel as a substitute.

Foundation

Time to lay the ‘foundation’ for all your products.

Once your face is all prepped and primed, apply foundation all over your face, ears, eyelids, and neck. Use a foundation brush or a sponge to blend it out and your face is ready for some more. If you do not have a makeup tool handy, you can always use your fingers.

If you’re not a foundation person, a CC cream is always a great substitute.

Concealer

You can use a concealer to hide acne spots, scars, dark circles, and your past mistakes (you wish!). Usually, a concealer should be one or two tones lighter than your foundation so that it can brighten up the under-eye area. But if you have intense dark circles, use a colour corrector first.

Setting Powder

What time is it? It’s time to bake!

Take out some setting powder on the palm of your hand and using a damp beauty sponge, apply it over your concealer and let it sit there for five-ten minutes. This fun process is known as baking and believe it or not, if done correctly, this will definitely give you a Kardashian-approved makeup look.

PS: If you don’t wanna splurge on an expensive powder, baby powder is always a fab choice.

Compact

If you have oily skin, you should always keep a compact powder for oily skin or some loose powder in your kit. It’ll not only give your face a semi-matte finish but will also ensure that traces of oil are reduced to a minimum. Keep it in your purse for easy touchups whenever needed.

Eyeshadow

You can create some ‘eye’conic looks with eyeshadow! Play with different colours, textures and types to make sure your eyes are doing all the talking.

Eyeliner

Add more depth to your eyes with a winged eyeliner. After all, a great eyeliner can take you places. Personally tried and tested, this is probably one of the best liners at this price.

Lip balm

Keep a lip balm handy as applying a lipstick every day, especially matte and liquid lipsticks can result in dry, chapped lips. A great hack to ensure that your lips are soft and moisturised all day is to apply a lip balm 5 minutes before you apply lipstick.

Lipstick

Lipstick can’t solve your problems but it’s a pretty great start, right? Pout it out with two swipes of lipstick and flood your ‘Gram with pretty selfies.

Lipstick

Admit it, a lipstick is cool but a gloss is more fun! And if you’re brave enough to wear a gloss on a windy day, we say try this one out… And at this price, it’s practically a steal!

Blush

For the perfect flush of blush, add a pop to the apple of your cheeks. It makes you look fresh, youthful and healthy, and did we mention it’s going to make your cheekbones pop?

Highlighter

Perhaps, my favourite makeup product of all time, this is also my favourite step in my makeup routine. Apply highlighter above your cheekbones, on the bridge of your nose, cupid’s bow and inner corner of your eyes for that extra oomph! You can also use it as an eyeshadow.

Setting spray

A setting spray helps in multiple ways. First, it takes away any cakiness from your skin and makes everything look a little more natural. Second, it makes your makeup stay in place all day. So go ahead and seal the deal!

Nail polish

A bright manicure keeps your nails looking snazzy at all times. What better than a bright red to doll up your nails with?

Makeup brushes

A great masterpiece requires the right tools, add these pretty brushes to your makeup kit and blend that face to perfection.

If you’re a beauty junkie looking for makeup products on a budget, you’ll love our finds! So, what are you waiting for? Start adding these to your cart, STAT!
