9 Bollywood Newcomers To Watch Out For

The Khans, the Bachchans and the Kapoors may be our all-time favourites, but we’ll always have room for new faces and fresh talent on the big screen… and in our hearts. After all, it’s always the younger lot that gives us something fresh to think over, in their energy, spirit and attitude.  Here are 9 such Bollywood newcomers who’re getting us excited…

1. Kanan Gill

If you don’t already know this guy from Pretentious Movie Reviews, you should skip everything else and get down to watching his YouTube channel right now. He’s hilarious and also relatable as heck. After his first break in the Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Noor, we can’t wait to watch more of him.

2. Nidhhi Agerwal

Some women just have it all – gorgeous hair, perfect skin and a sharp, expressive face – and Nidhhi Agerwal is one such blessed woman. She’s the kind who’d look smouldering in whatever she does. If you don’t believe us, catch her in her debut release – Munna Michael.

3. Mehreen Pizada

She starred as a bride-to-be in Phillauri and got us hooked with her debut performance. We loved her in her innocent, girl-next-door look and can’t wait to watch her in another upcoming movie.

4. Mustafa Burmawalla

We’re all guilty of swooning over good-looking men on screen and wouldn’t mind another one, would we? This actor looks like the perfect mix of a tough guy and the chocolate boy and we recently had the pleasure of watching him for three hours, in his debut film Machine, directed by his father Abaas of the Abbas-Muskan duo.

5. Saba Qamar

Hindi Medium was a surprise entertainer and we’d like to give Saba due credit for making us roll with laughter in our seats. Oh and we liked how despite being a popular Pakistani soap actress, she didn’t mind playing the role of a mother in her Bollywood debut.

6. Aadar Jain

Talking about Bollywood’s first families and their celeb kids, there’s another kid on the block from the Kapoor clan. Aadar Jain is the grandson of Raj Kapoor and he has just made his debut with Qaidi Band under the Yash Raj banner. Coming from an illustrious family, we’re sure he’ll make his presence felt. Let’s see what spirit he adds on to the industry, then.

7. Suraj Sharma

Unlike his contemporaries, this boy made his international debut first, with the highly acclaimed movie – Life of Pie – and then debuted in Bollywood with Phillauri. He made us laugh in the role of a troubled young man in this movie and we’d defintely like to see more of him.

8. Ahan Shetty

If you’d ever ask your older cousins about their fav actors, Sunil Shetty would feature in quite a few lists. Now that he’s taken a back seat in Bollywood, we’d like to see what his son has in store for us. The boy has his father’s good looks – and that’s a great start already.

9. Zaira Wasim

Much like her recent movie Secret Superstar, Zaira too just might be the next superstar-in-making, what with two back to back hits since her arrival. We loved her in Dangal as well and we’re eager to see more of this young actress on the big screen.
