The year of 2020 has truly been gloomy. Just four months in, the world is going through a global health crisis, and India has already lost two veteran actors. As if the news of Irrfan Khan passing away yesterday wasn’t devastating enough, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s passing has left Bollywood and fans at a loss for words.
The news was first broken his fellow veteran actor Amitabh Bacchhan on Twitter, who wrote, “He’s GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !”
Rishi Kapoor was first diagnosed with cancer (Leukemia) in 2018 and he returned to India last September after undergoing treatment in New York for almost a year. Prime Minister Narenrdra Modi also took to Twitter to express his grief. He called Rishi Kapoor a ‘powerhouse of talent’ and said that he was ‘anguished by his demise’.
