Virat Mentioned Anushka In His Award Acceptance Speech & It’s Making Our Hearts Flutter!

Virat and Anushka or ‘Virushka’ as they are popularly known have been arguably one of the most loved jodi the country has seen in a while. Even before their wedding, fans adored the two together and always cheered for a happy ending for these two. While before the wedding they weren’t very open about their relationship, now, they show their love and support in abundance on social media and otherwise. 

Virat has always been his lady love’s biggest fan and often tweets about how much he loves her films and her superb acting skills. Wifey Anushka too has always been there for the Indian skipper either watching his matches from home all ready in a jersey and everything, or at the stadium hooting from the stands. 

This time, Virat Kohli was honoured with the prestigious Polly Umrigar Trophy at the BCCI Annual Awards function in Bengaluru on Tuesday. To make the evening even more special, the love of his life, Anushka Sharma was right beside him, gleaming proudly.

The power couple looked adorable in navy blue colour coordinated outfits. He looked dapper (as usual) in a formal suit and she looked stunning in a long dress with a ruffled collar and long sleeves.

Virat even mentioned her in his speech, saying, “My wife is here today so that makes it more special. The awards didn’t happen last year but I am glad they didn’t because she is here now.”

Bright smiles for everyone! Awwww, we love it! It’s heartwarming to see their love and affection for each other and how they’re always holding on to each other, through thick and through thin. Remember when people trolled Anushka after Virat played badly in a match? They weren’t even married and he stood up for her and raised his voice against the entire country. Chivalry isn’t dead clearly.

Virat won the award for his astounding performance in the 2016-2017 and the 2017-2018 seasons. However, he is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his neck surgery which he had during the IPL season.
