The androgyny trend was one of the hottest trends to sweep the fashion world by storm the last few years. Women borrowing outfit ideas from the men’s closets isn’t something new in fashion, but this time round we really saw designers and fashion influencers challenge the gender norm. Menswear has finally started to merge with women’s clothing, and more and more unisex apparel is seeing the light of the day. It looks like androgynous fashion is here for the long haul.
From Hollywood to our favourite Bollywood sweethearts, this trend has become a favourite among everyone. Sonam Kapoor, the pioneer when it comes to jumping on the latest trend bandwagon, has been spotted numerous times wearing the pant-suit and rocking this trend. Other B-town beauties like Deepika and Kangana have also been spotted in boyfriend jeans and Oxfords.

But it was Ranveer Singh who sealed the deal when he showed up wearing a long skirt and a bandhgala jacket at the Bajirao Mastani premiere. Not only was he challenging the status quo but he was doing a fab job of it and looking absolutely dapper! He gave us all the more reasons to crush on him!
