While trends do shape the fashion industry, it’s also important to factor in how to wear them. Not everyone does a trend justice and Bollywood is the best instance, isn’t it? Alia Bhatt’s epic bum-bag failure is a recent example. Alas, trends aren’t as simple as one makes them out to be, are they?
With the queen Deepika Padukone’s anarkali pioneering the all-white fashion streak, it was only a matter of time before the rest of Bollywood started. Out of all of the above, Sara and Kangana are the most obsessed with white. We picked out one look each of both the actresses and wondered…who wore their all-white outfit better?
Sara Ali Khan has a favourite printed white kurta and that’s what we picked out. She wore it with white churidaar pants and dupatta, paired with white chandbalis and brown kolhapuri chappals.
ICYMI, the Bollywood debutante has also worn this kurta before with bestie Janhvi Kapoor in a matching outfit.
Kangana Ranaut does love her all-white Indian wear too but she also rocks fusion wear just the same. Here’s what we picked out.
Miss Ranaut loves relaxed fits and fabrics and don’t we know it! Her pure cotton linen dress from designer label Runaway Bicycle is simple yet chic, isn’t it?
Details like a victorian collar and Indigo strip were seen on the dress. Worn with white and brown summery sandals, Kangana’s outfit is artsy yet fashionable.
For us, Sara Ali Khan’s churidaar pants don’t make the cute and neither do her chappals. To style a casual all-white outfit better, varied textures instead of prints work wonders! Maybe some chikankari work would have saved Sara’s outfit?
Kangana Ranaut, however, styled hers well and kept it simple at the same time. We’re quite fond of the dress and her cute shoes too. Therefore, she wins this battle of outfits! What do you think?
