If I got a rupee for every time I wish I had someone who could go back in time and tell me things about sex that I didn’t know back then, I’d probably still be not that rich; but, at least I’d have a pocket full of spare pennies. But, unfortunately, we’re not that advanced in our research yet to be able to time travel into the past.
But, hypothetically speaking, if I could go back into the past, here’s what I would tell my younger self about sex.
1. Don’t rush it
It’s okay to take time. So, what if your classmates matured faster? So, what if you still haven’t done anything sexual. Take as long as you need, there is a right time and place for everything.
2. Peer pressure is real
It may not be obvious, or in your face, but you may feel the pressure to be having sex. Again, be strong-willed and only have sex if you are a 100% sure.
3. It will hurt the first few times
I wish I could sugar-coat it for you and tell you it’s all butterflies and rainbows, the whole way through. But I won’t lie to you. Sex is like wine – you acquire a taste and then, you’re hooked! It will hurt the first few times. Try not to get too excited. Also, foreplay is crucial. It’s going to help you big time.
4. Some men will fake their love for you
Only to get into your pants. They won’t care about your feelings because they will only care about their needs. Be careful who you spend your time with. They will act like they would bring you the moon but the truth is, they don’t really feel anything for you.
5. Some men will sleep with you and leave you
Yes, this is your mistake. But it isn’t your fault for trusting them. You could have never known that they would turn out to be like this. Learn from this and move on. Don’t punish yourself for something that you can’t change. Don’t repeat the same mistakes.
6. Your folks know
Yes, they do. You may think that you’re being super stealthy and that there is no way on earth that they would have found out; but, let me blow your bubble. They know.
7. It won’t be like in the movies
To have great sex requires chemistry, practice and a lot of patience. Movies have been lying to you. Initially, it’s going to suck big time.
8. You will not orgasm every time
And that is quite normal. Don’t be disappointed, or let down by this. Men generally finish faster than women. You’ll get used to it in time.
9. Safe sex is the only sex you should have
Pregnancy scares are not funny and even the slightest chances of being infected with an STD can be quite annoying. So, do the right thing. Practice safe sex.
10. Take care of your personal hygiene
Always take a shower after you have sex. Clean your genitals thoroughly and always pee after sex. Most importantly don’t forget to drink water because otherwise, you will get UTIs.
11. You will learn to love your body
Initially, it will be awkward being naked in front of someone; you’ll be increasingly conscious. But slowly, you will start appreciating your body much more than you had before because of who you are, and who you are with.
12. A man’s junk will soon start looking attractive
I know that when you first see it, it looks out of place, just hanging there. You’ll wonder where that came from, or what should you do with it. But your thoughts about this will soon change. In fact, at some point, just the thought of it will turn you on.
13. Don’t talk about your sex life with people you don’t know too well
They will pretend to be your friends and act like they are very progressive in their thinking and cool about everything but secretly they will judge you and bitch about you behind your back.
