Time and again young women have proved that if they are given access to adequate opportunities and resources, they can soar even greater heights than their male counterparts. After Manushi Chillar making India proud at the Miss World pageant, Medha Kumari, a student at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna bagged the highest placement package from Adobe Systems this year. That of a whopping 39.5 lakh!
Medha is currently studying computer science and engineering. According to Dr. Samrat Mukherjee from NIT’s Training and Placement Cell, hers is the highest annual compensation package which has been offered to an NIT student till date. She is the only student from the college who has been recruited by Adobe and she’ll start her stint at their Noida office in June 2018 as a Software Development, Implementation, and Coding officer.
Amazon was the second biggest recruiter at the Patna NIT and they offered five students Rs. 27.5 pay package each. Tata Motors, Samsung R&D Institute India, HighRadius, IndiaMART, Hero MotoCorp, Wipro, Virtusa, L&T Corporate (POWAI), IBM, L&T Construction, Capgemini, Futures First and HighRadius were few of the other companies which participated in the placement procedure.
