Before you hit 30, indulge in all of these things. Not that 30 is going to be a watershed moment in your life, but it might just be the moment you lose steam or interest in doing some fun, memorable things. Also, these experiences
add a new meaning to your life. So go ahead and take the plunge...
1. Chuck the idea of “log kya kahenge?”
Life is way too beautiful to focus on silly, ignorant folk. People are always going to say one thing or the other about you, but what they say shouldn't hinder your progress. If you feel the need to listen to people, listen to what your parents are saying, they have honest feedback to offer. Let people talk and don’t give any importance to their harsh words. Live your life the way you want to.
2. Get the fittest body you’ve ever had
You live life to the best only if you are fit. Make fitness regimes a part of your daily routine. It will boost your confidence. You will learn to interact with your own self that way. Working out not only does well for your body, it benefits your mind as well, making you a calmer, more stable person.
3. Step out...at 2 a.m.
We’ve heard enough of, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise”. Try waking up at 2 a.m. instead, step outside and enjoy nature’s nocturnal bliss. There is something very soothing in the sounds of the night - a cricket here, an owl there and apart from that, absolute silence.
Travel the world! Visit the tea gardens or the backwaters of Kerela, go to Leh Ladakh, read a book on the beach in Goa. It all depends on you and your budget. Be adventurous and enthusiastic, it will help you meet new people and gather many memorable experiences. A might fill your pocket but a little bit of fun is going to fill your soul.
The process of releasing repressed emotions is known as catharsis. It can actually be very therapeutic. Let your emotions out. Isolate yourself for a moment and cry your heart out when your heart feels heavy. Take out all that pent up anger on a tree, or a wall (just don’t break any bones). Trust me, it is the best feeling ever.
Read. It will offer you solace, memories, relatable experiences to delve into and a host of emotions you have never felt before. And most of all, it will offer you knowledge. Instead of mindlessly scrolling through your phone and PC, get a book to read. They might help you to explore yourself. Not many things are as exciting as getting lost into a good book.
Asking a guy out for a cup of coffee doesn’t have to mean that you have relationship goals. It could simply mean you want to know that person. Confessing you did something wrong to your best friend doesn’t mean you’re guilty, it just means you’re a big person. Pour your heart out, ask a guy out, ask a prospective friend to a coffee and admit to yourself that you’ve made mistakes.
8. Talk to your grandparents!
For a minute, forget about your “social life”. Make a call to your grandparents and tell them that your care. Value their advice and hear what they have to say. Some conversations might be of an era gone by and some of it might be about really valuable life lessons.
9. Feed stray animals
Give every stray a chance at life. We throw away a lot of food, why not just give it to them. We have destroyed their environment, why not just coexist in peace. After some time, you will notice how loyal stray dogs follow you around the colony.
