#WomenPower: 9 Reasons Why Female Bosses Are Awesome!

Love her or hate her, but there are certain advantages of having a lady boss, which you may have never considered! Yes, we’re serious, even if your boss is the real-life incarnation of Miranda Priestly. We give you 9 reasons why female bosses are awesome - these should definitely help you appreciate her like never before. :)

1. They Tend to Be More Empathetic Than Male Bosses

It's true. Your boss being more emotionally inclined in the way that you are has its advantages. A female boss is more likely to understand your specific workplace issues and respond to a situation, and guide you accordingly. It's easier to tell a female boss when you’re having an off-day thanks to personal issues. However, we suggest you don't take advantage of this by expecting her to always cut you slack! Respect the fact that she's making allowances for you, and make sure you never let her down with flimsy excuses.

2. You Trust That Her Decisions Are Fair

Being female herself, she’s not going to judge your work performance based on your gender. Unfortunately enough, far too many male bosses favour other men or have been known to be partial to a woman they find attractive (yes, this actually happens); but you can be confident that a female boss will make fairer decisions based  purely on work performance - after all, she's been where you are before!

3. She’s Way More Organized

Ladies, we all know that we’re so much better than men when it comes to multitasking, efficiency and staying organized. It’s just the way we’re wired. ;) Your female boss is more likely to be able to help you stay on top of things and make the best use of your time - and we say this from experience!

4. Your Boss Can Relate to That Damn Monthly Issue

How cool is it to have a boss who actually understands how it feels like hell every time you get your period? You know you can ask her to lend you a pad/tampon in case of an emergency, and that, trust us, is a blessing!

5. Women Understand Better the Need of a Work-Life Balance

Modern-day women juggle everything, from a demanding job to running a house to finding the time to catch up with her besties. A woman in charge goes through the same daily struggles you go through when it comes to managing your life and will always be able to guide you on how to balance your work-cum-personal situation.

6. You Can Be Assured That She’s Not an Ogler

Let’s face it: there are plenty of creeps out there, and working under one can be all kinds of unpleasant. Having a female boss just increases your comfort factor at the workplace and you never have to worry about her checking out your legs or butt when you walk into office in a pencil skirt.

7. You Have a Fab Personal Idol Right in Front of Your Nose!

ladyboss You're ambitious, and want to shatter that glass ceiling? Well, ladies, you need to look no further than your boss to find the right mentor when it comes to breaking barriers. She's your boss because she's at the top of her game - and what better person for you to observe and learn from as you lay out your roadmap for professional success?

8. She Could Become Your Friend

We’re not saying you should call her up at 3 a.m. with your boyfriend woes, but having a friendly rapport is way better than letting intimidation get the better of you. It’s always great to have her around for a female perspective on non-work stuff as well as for some fun office banter! Much tougher to make that jump when it comes dealing with a male boss.

9. She Totally Understands Your Online Shopping Addiction ;)

If you’re caught browsing through countless shopping websites at your desk, she’s less likely to berate you compared to a man. In fact, (we hope!) your boss probably sneakily shops online too in the privacy of her office. Women stick together when it comes to the power of retail therapy! (P.S.: This ONLY applies if it's not affecting your work.)
