Hair Gems: 7 Women On The Best Hair Products They’ve Owned

Haircare and accessories are slowly becoming one of the most popular ways to express yourself in 2024. On or off the runway, there has been an increased focus on making your hair more…well, you. My curls have always defined me and I take a lot of care about what goes into my hairstyling so I’m really glad about this revolution. More focus on hair means more products for specific hair concerns.

And because I work in an office full of beauty fanatics, here’s a list of all the products my co-workers use and why they love them!

Nidhi Kavle, Beauty Editor

“I have a few favourites. The Ellips Hair Vitamins have peeved to be a great addition to my daily routine and the capsules are super travel-friendly. I also love the Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer for those days when my hair needs a little oomph. When it comes to tools, my favourite has to be the Alan Truman Tourmaline Ceramic Wand – easy to use and not too harsh on the pocket either!”

Sneha Kalra, Junior Editor

“Okay, so off the top of my head, my current three favs are: Tresemme Gloss Ultimate Hair Serum, Soulflower Rosemary Lavender Healthy Hair Oil, and the Kérastase Fresh Affair Dry Shampoo. All super high performance and work wonders on wavy hair.”

“I have this set from Vedix, and I loved their shampoo and conditioner. The serum was a natural next step – I love how moisturising it is especially in the dehydrating Delhi weather.”

Harshita Singh, Staff Writer

“I have coloured hair and sometimes it needs some extra love and care. So before I blow dry I like to use the L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Hair Serum as a heat protectant. It saves me from all the intense damage and my hair is soooo soft afterwards!”

Isha Kohli, Senior Social Media Manager

“I’m a big fan of the L’Oreal Paris Hyaluron Moisture Night Cream – you would think it doesn’t work on curly hair but it makes mine so soft that I can actually run my hands through them!”

Manya Ailawadi, Senior Writer

“A good serum for straight hair like mine is the L’Oreal Professionnel 10-In-1 Absolut Repair Oil Leave In Hair Serum. It’s very moisture heavy and I don’t recommend using it if you have a super oily scalp, but for those days when you skip conditioner – this guy’s your best friend.

“I’m a big fan of both the Arata Curling Cream and the Fix My Curls Scalp & Strands Elixir Hair Oil. The curling cream gives my curls a delicious definition while the hair oil is more like a serum – I use it to keep all the frizz down and my hair smooth! When I don’t have this on hand – Livon is my best friend.”

A lot more L’Oreal and Tresseme than I was expecting, but you can’t mess with tradition. Honestly though, with the pace of innovation we’re witnessing, it’s only a matter of time until there’s a specific hair product for every individuals quintessential needs. And when that happens, you best believe I’ll be doing one of these again!
