Once upon a time, a man met a beautiful woman in London and knew that one day, he was going to marry her. Two years later, he popped the question and two years post that, they got hitched. If you think that we just narrated a perfect fairytale, then yes, you are absolutely right. The only difference is that the story is not a work of fiction, but Plixxo Super Blogger Niki Mehra and fashion entrepreneur Sid Madan’s reality.
The two met during London Fashion Week in 2018 and it was then that Sid asked Niki to be his girlfriend. Actually, he asked her to be his wife, but well, they had known each other for only four days. While the blogger politely refused, she did agree to be his boo. On their second anniversary, he took her to the same spot and officially asked her to be his life partner. How dreamy is that? Even dreamier is the fact that the couple tied the knot on March 7 in the most beautiful ceremonies. The digital creator has been sharing pics and videos from her functions with her ‘virtual ladkiwale’ on Instagram and they’re every bit stunning. Take a look:
Sagan Da Din
For this special day, Niki looked like a gorgeous doll. She wore a stunning orange lehenga with a long peplum top by designer Mohseen Naveed Ranjha. The beautiful motifs designed with intricate gota and zari work gave her outfit a glamm appeal. On the other hand, the bright red border at the hem of her skirt added a regal touch to her overall look. To balance the vibrant hues, Niki wore a turquoise dupatta with colourful borders and delicate zari work all over it.
Niki wore a ruby and polki necklace by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas that went perfectly with her risque neckline. She opted for statement sahara earrings and skipped the heavy head accessories. Her simple hairdo went perfectly with her smokey eyes and we love how her look is equal parts subtle and vibrant for a daytime function.
The Dhamakedaar Dhol Night
For her dhol night, Niki wanted a Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge theme and that’s exactly what she got. She paired a bold purple suit with red brocade salwar and bright yellow dupatta. We think designer Heena Kochhar did a brilliant job with the outfit and all brides-to-be should bookmark this look for their sangeet. The blogger went with her iconic smokey eyes and nude lippie, and braided her hair for that traditional Punjabi kudi vibe. Her jewellery pieces were light as the dulhan had to dance away the entire night. The cutest part about OOTD was her colourful bangles, which were a gift from her father.
The Serene Sundowner
Niki and Sid hosted an amazing sundowner ceremony, and it looked like her guests had a complete blast. They drank, sang and danced the whole night at a Goa beach and it looked as if the couple had an unplanned joint bachelorette. Niki wanted to dress in flowers and Geisha Designs by Paras and Shalini gave her exactly that. She wore a pristine white gown with floral work all over it. The risque neckline and thigh-high slit added an oomph factor to her otherwise delicate attire.
For her makeup, Niki opted for soft glam smokey eyes and nude lips. She added tiny white flowers in her hair and we’ve to say that we’re in love with her quirky hairdo.
The Tropical Mehendi
Every detail about Niki’s mehendi was crafted to perfection and honestly, we still cannot take our eyes off this beautiful bride. For the occasion, she wore a Sabyasachi lehenga in pink with gorgeous floral work all over it. While her outfit suited the theme of her tropical mehendi, her accessories and makeup gave her quite a royal look. She wore emerald and polki jewellery and added that nazakat wali vibe with a statement passa.
