From an innocently hilarious pregnant mother to a forward-looking dadi, I’ve mostly seen Neena Gupta rocking a salwar-suit/saree on screen. However, Neena ji’s off-screen outfit choices have pleasantly surprised me and now, I am as big a fan of her sense of style as I am of her acting prowess. Apart from donning designer daughter Masaba Gupta’s printed sarees, the veteran actress has been channelling her inner fashionista in athleisure sets, cutesy co-ords, and comfy dresses. However, for me, her recent fashion outing is to date–her most iconic off-screen lewk. Neena ji was spotted outside a Bandra restaurant in a little black dress and sach kahu toh, she absolutely nailed it! Take a look:
Cinched at the waist with a flattering drape and that oh-so-sexy back, her dress made for a perfect dinner/date-night outfit. The veteran actress paired it with calf-length suede black boots–a fashion masterstroke, given that the pre-fall season is just around the corner. She added a hint of drama to her ensemble with statement white danglers and a black chained shoulder bag. But here’s what took the cake for me: her yellow-tinted day glasses. They added a whole lot of oomph and the ultimate diva feels to her look. Staying true to her bindass style, Neena ji opted for a mess-free low bun and absolutely slayed the fashion game.
This look is proof that the Badhai Ho actress can give the B-town newbies a run for their money with her stellar sense of style. Perhaps, Masaba got it from her mama, too. What do you think?
