It’s been a while since I last attended a big fat Indian wedding. I think I have almost forgotten what it feels like to have shaadi ka khana. But more importantly, I miss dancing my heart out on peppy dhol music, observing the couple getting married, and go all “awwwwww” every time they do something adorable.
However, because of the lack of any wedding invitations in the past year, I have effectively shifted base. I’ve thus been exploring fun, emotional wedding videos on the ‘Gram that help me with all the feels (barring the shaadi wala khana of course.) Now, just in case you too have been missing the shaadi wala feels, I just stumbled across a video that can easily be called the happiest wedding video on the web right now. Seriously, I kid you not.
Sovina Chawla and Aradhya Singh recently tied the knot in a vibrant gurudwara ceremony. And it’s their wedding video and the crackling chemistry that is making us dream. Here’s everything that we are loving about this adorable couple:
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi: The Sparkling Chemistry
The wedding video opens with fun banter as Sovina asks Aradhya to “mend his ways” now that he is getting married. The groom answers with a smirk, “try me” and then both burst into peels of laughter. It is an adorable moment and brings out their sizzling chemistry. But that’s not it, throughout the video, the two can be seen dancing their hearts out during each and every ceremony. Also, there are moments when the two can be seen sharing a fist bump and looking at each other with all the love in their eyes. Surely, this is a couple that we stan!
There is something just really heartwarming about Sovina and Aradhya’s wedding video. You’d literally feel like standing up and joining this cute couple for their wedding bhangra. Here, see what we have been talking about:
The Gorgeous Outfits
Sovina opted for a uniquely embellished JJ Valaya lehenga for her D-Day. The crimson beauty featured dabka and gota work beautifully enhanced by mirror accents. The handwork has been inspired by traditional gota work. We love how the look has been put together with a kiran border on the bride’s dupatta.
Sovina finished off the look with a statement choker featuring polki and emeralds and an OTT maang tikka that complimented her really well. The look has a charming, earthy quality about it and would be the perfect inspiration for the brides who like all things classic and traditional.
Keeping up with the current bridal makeup mood, Sovina went for dewy skin and a generous blush. The rest of the makeup was kept minimal but effective with a nude lippie and bold eyes. Here’s how you can recreate the look:
The groom, on the other hand, opted for a nicely structured Varun Bahl bandhgala. The layered outfit featured pastel thread embroidery on the outer jacket and was finished off with a baby pink pug. We think it’s quite a look that would be apt for a groom who wants to make a statement without looking OTT.
Well, we are currently watching Sovina and Aradhya’s video on loop and don’t see that stopping anything soon!
