Nothing, I repeat nothing do I miss more than waiting for Tuesdays when Zara drops its new collection. Shopping on Tuesdays was my weekly ritual (now a source of entertainment) and my dwindling bank balance was, of course, a result of that. However, living in a pandemic is different. While the latter is resting and gaining weight these days, the former is suffering from some serious Zara deficiency. In light of the pandemic, the brand had announced a temporary closure of its stores and online shops, much like other fashion brands. For a few weeks after that, one could only browse the old collection from early March. Until recently.
In a parallel world where fashion is still a priority for some, Zara launched its new brand campaign adding some freshness to our e-comm scrolls. Besides the regular add-ons like dresses, jeans, and tops the campaign is a throwback to the 70s style with retro prints and an insight into how Zara models live. Confused? Let me explain.
If you scroll through Zara's new collection, you won't see studio shots of models against white background. Or just product shots. Zara found a way to make its new drop more relatable than ever by sticking with their go-to models and having them shoot at their own homes! The result? Beautiful never-before-seen luxe locations and, well, a stylish prediction of summer 2020 after the lockdown ends. Check out some of our favourite at-home shots that are making us fall in love with Zara more and more.
Each shot is a glimpse into the model's own sense of style and taste for aesthetics. Tells us a lot about the people of Zara, doesn't it?
To ensure what they stand for i.e style, without compromising on safety, Zara sent the new products to the models' houses so they could shoot themselves. Isn't that amazing? Instead of staring at a white sheet in a studio in Spain, we got to go all around the world. Genius, Zara. Pure genius!
BRB, wishlisting some of these styles to buy as soon as I get a chance! Summer of 2020, here I come! And what exactly are you waiting for?
