Sonakshi Sinha has never quite revealed if she is dating someone but that won’t stop the rumour mills from buzzing, right? The Dabangg actress was linked with Notebook actor Zaheer Iqbal as the two were often spotted together and also arrived together at Salman Khan’s birthday party in 2018. Zaheer, however, in a recent interview, has spoken about his relationship status and spilled some beans about dating rumours with Sona.
Speaking to an entertainment portal, Iqbal said, “Sonakshi and I laughed after reading the dating rumours. It was my first rumour so I didn’t know how to react to it.” He also went on to reveal that he was dating someone else at the time, and dating rumours with Sonakshi made things rather awkward with his then-girlfriend. “On the day this happened, we messaged each other because we got a notification on Google Alerts. Do you know what the mess up was? I was dating someone no one knew. It became a bit awkward between us as Sonakshi knew who I was dating then!” he added. Woah, well that’s a situation all of us would want to avoid.
Zaheer also spoke about what could have led to the brewing of speculations. “It all seemed to be a product of someone’s overactive imagination after seeing us hanging out together. Well, I’m sure that’s how it started,” he said.
Sonakshi, who was asked about Zaheer a couple of times last year during the promotions of Kalank said that she would be the first person to talk about her love life if at all there was anything to share. “I’m toh waiting. I’m waiting for love, some prince charming would come, I’m waiting. Nobody is there right now. So when it happens, I feel that I will be very happy about it,” said the Dabangg actress while speaking to a media portal.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi, will be seen next in Bhuj: The Pride Of India along with Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi. Currently, Sonakshi has been staying home in Mumbai because of the nationwide lockdown, which has now been extended till May 3.
