Yea, celeb weddings are cool and all, but I am kinda all for surprise celebs shaadis–the kind that hit you out of the blue. Now, what’s this weird itch you ask? Well, for starters, you don’t have to keep waiting in anticipation for the wedding to happen and for the first looks to come out. It is like you are casually sitting, sipping your evening tea, and boom, Yami Gautam is married! Then before you know it, your Instagram feed is suddenly a happy place, flooded with gorgeous pictures of the new couple in their wedding finery. Well, you know what we are talking about!
We are pretty sure that you must have already seen the glorious pictures from Yami and Aditya Dhar’s intimate wedding by now. Now, can’t say anything about you but we certainly wanted more and thus went on scouring the internet. And guess what? It didn’t go in vain and we actually stumbled upon a post-wedding picture of Yami, looking all radiant in her new dulhan avatar. Here is everything that we are loving about the look:
Mashallah: Yami Gautam’s Green Silk Paithani & That Million Dollar smile
In her first picture as a newlywed, Yami can be seen wearing a striking Paithani silk saree. It is a simple albeit impactful look. Instead of going all OTT, Yami has kept it tastefully minimal with her jewels. Of course, we are totally digging the tassel earrings which are beautifully cascading down her shoulders. We are also loving how the colour of her green saree is creating a beautiful contrast with her red choora. Additionally, the green certainly provides a welcome break from all the red that Yami wore for her wedding. It is a great post-wedding look and we’d have to give it to Yami for nailing it so effortlessly.
Yami has kept it equally classic in the hair and makeup department as well. While the hair has been left loose sans with minimal styling, the skin has been kept clean. She has finished off the look with some kohl and a pop of ruby on her lips. Don’t you think this is the perfect summer look for the new brides?
It is definitely the classic vibe of Yami’s post-wedding look that is doing it for us. The actress has kept up with the vibe all throughout her wedding. Just by looking at her pictures, we are instantly transported to a simpler time when weddings weren’t all about a barrage of opulent designer outfits. There is beauty in simplicity like they say.
