The world of pop is too colourful to not shine, isn’t it?! So it’s normal if we tell you that some of the hair and makeup looks on the red carpet of Grammy Awards 2019 came out of your wildest dreams. The hottest stars of pop, rock and country were shining at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, yesterday for 61st annual Grammy Awards. The evening was high on unexpectedly brilliant performances and surprisingly emotional moments including when Michelle Obama showed up along with Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, JLo and Jada Pinkett Smith to open the annual award show.
However, we couldn’t stop ourselves from talking about Cardi B’s wrapped-in-pearls top bun because on a red carpet, some bring their demure look forward while others just love the fun and drama. Some looks do take your breath away and many on the red carpet were such. Alicia Keys, who is known for her no-makeup movement, wowed everyone with her half-up voluminous curls and nearly-nude face and don’t even get me started on Tori Kelly’s bubblegum pink lip colour and Kelsea Ballerini’s electric orange lipstick because I’m about to fall in love with dramatic pouts! Here are a few dramatic hairstyles and makeup looks that were ready to hit the right note.
