Just one of the billion controversies that started on the Koffee With Karan couch! Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor, who are all set to appear in the final episode of the 6th season of Karan Johar’s show, have quite a history on this couch.
Let’s refresh your memory, shall we? The two did a movie together called Aitraaz in 2004 with Akshay Kumar playing the questionable husband, Kareena playing his wife, and Priyanka playing the bitter ex-lover who also happens to be Akshay Kumar’s boss. Now, rumour has it that this dynamic is what caused the row in the first place. Apparently, Kareena’s bitterness towards Priyanka was a result of all the attention that Priyanka’s negative character was getting, and the limited recognition that Kareena herself was getting.

All this was, of course, just vicious gossip, that’s until Kareena Kapoor decided to call out Priyanka Chopra on the Koffee couch in Season 3, where she appeared with her then-boyfriend, Saif Ali Khan. During the rapid fire round, her answer to a question about Priyanka Chopra was, “Where does she get her accent from?”
A few episodes later, Priyanka Chopra appeared on the same couch with Kareena’s ex-boyfriend, Shahid Kapoor and said, “The same place her boyfriend (Saif) gets it from.” Brutal, right?
And, the savage responses were just the beginning. The two even went on to comment on national awards while talking to leading newspapers. From Kareena saying they didn’t matter and Priyanka responding with a classic, “Well, I guess if you don’t have one, then it’s just sour grapes,” it was like uncontrollable hellfire.

But the two have grown since, and 14 years later they’ve started making amends. Reports say the two were recently shooting in the same studio and decided to greet each other. Post which, in her last episode of Koffee With Karan Season 5, Kareena called Priyanka a global icon and was all praises about the desi girl.
Now, the two are closing this season of KWK, and we can bet that this is going to be one spicy and sassy episode, courtesy, Karan Johar.
After all, all’s well that ends well, and the fight between these two actresses has reached an amicable end.
