Tall, Dark & Handsome: We Can’t Get Over Vicky Kaushal’s Look At The National Awards

Tall, Dark & Handsome: We Can’t Get Over Vicky Kaushal’s Look At The National Awards

The actor who started 2019 with the blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike is also ending the year with a bang. Vicky Kaushal has just received the prestigious National Award in the Best Actor category for his performance in the film. However, it is not just his acting skills that are winning our hearts. His look for the event and sense of style (more on this later) are also eye-catchy. Let’s take a look at Vicky receiving the accolade at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

We are extremely proud of and happy for Vicky. We also can’t help but notice how dapper he looks in that black bandhgala. Here’s what all we loved about his look from today.

Regal & Beyond: Black Bandhgala

The Uri actor chose to wear a self-designed black bandhgala by designer Sabyasachi. The contrasting gold buttons and perfect fit elegantly bring out the royal look Vicky opted for. He paired it with muted gold churidaar, giving us a sneak peek into what his character might be dressed as in Karan Johar’s magnum opus Takht (slated for release next year).

Groomed Hair That Can Impress All

Who doesn’t like well-groomed manes? Styled by Amandeep Kaur, Vicky has given his hair some serious lift for the occasion. For an event as big as the 66th National Awards, the actor tamed his natural curly locks for a more polished yet not too slick look. We love!

Soft Stubble To Steal Our Hearts

Vicky, who is otherwise mostly seen sporting a heavy beard, chose a soft stubble look for the ceremony. His light moustache is making him look neat, hot and sexy–all at the same time. Not to forget his million-dollar smile that is adding all the required spunk to his graceful look for the day.

Coming back to the National Awards, others who won were Ayushmann Khurrana (also Best Actor) for Andhadhun, Best Actress bagged by Keerthy Suresh for Mahanati, Akshay Kumar won Best Film on Social Issues for Padman and Surekha Sikri (Best Supporting Actress) for Badhaai Ho. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat received a lot of awards too including Best Choreography, Best Music Direction (Songs) and Best Male Playback Singer.

On the work front, Vicky will be next seen in Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship. Can’t wait to see him in the horror genre!
