A doppelganger is a German word used in English to talk about any double or someone who looks exactly like another person, more like a non-biologically related look-alike. Legend has it that if you come face to face with your doppelganger, it’s an omen (also, creepy?). If I came face-to-face with my judwa twin, I would run for my life. The world doesn’t need a double dose of me!
However, the same can’t be said for doppelgangers of celebrities. In fact, these look-alikes rise to fame almost as much as the OG stars. Well, imitation sure is the sincerest form of flattery! TikTok videos of a guy named Arihant Jain have been making the rounds on social media and fans can’t contain their amusement after seeing the uncanny similarity between the guy and Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli.

After watching this doppelganger’s videos, Twitterati feel that “half of Delhi looks like Virat Kohli”, and well, we can’t agree more. You have to see it to believe it!

Virat’s double was even used as celebrity endorsement in a political campaign once. Our country sure has seen several bizarre election campaigns, but this one definitely takes the cake. Back in May 2018, a Gram Panchayat election candidate promised to bring Virat Kohli to the town, but fans were disheartened to see his doppelganger turn up instead. Yeah, that happened!
