We all hoped for 2021 to be a better year and it seems like that the Universe is finally listening to us. This time, we have good news straight from B-Town that we all were waiting for quite eagerly. So fam, hold your breath because we have one of the happiest announcements to make–Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are now proud parents to a baby girl!
Yess! The day is finally here. The couple had reached Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital earlier today where mommy Anushka gave birth to her little angel. The Indian cricket team caption announced the news on his social media handle and wrote, “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time.”
Many cricketers and celebrities including Ishaan Khatter, Virendra Sehwag, and Yuzvendra Chahal poured in their love and best wishes for the new mom and dad. Take a look:

Virat and Anushka had announced their pregnancy in August 2020 and over the months, expressed their wish of keeping their child away from the limelight. Anushka had recently also shared the changes she had to undergo during her pregnancy and said, “Smells would revolt me, I couldn’t go near the kitchen. I swear, I could smell people’s skin. I thought it was never going to end. I didn’t think I could feel so tired. I am an active person and it was startling, but even when you’re in pain, or uncomfortable, you are still thinking: have I eaten at the right time? Is the baby okay?”
Well, now that the little angel is here, all of this seems like something from ages ago! Wishing the new parents Anushka and Virat all the love and luck in the world and hoping to learn the baby girl’s name real soon :)!
