It is not wrong to expect celebrities to fly business class for multiple reasons. Of course, travelling with the general public can be chaotic and uncontrollable especially for big movie stars, and when they can afford first class tickets, then why not enjoy the flight experience more spaciously and luxuriously?
But a recent video of Aamir Khan flying in Indigo Airline's economy class is going viral and fans are wondering what compelled him to ditch the usual business class. Is it his humility or, as fans are whispering, a majboori?
Sitting by the window, Aamir can be seen amused by people's reactions to spotting him travelling in the economy class. He didn't even wear a pair of black sunglasses as a disguise, which a lot of celebrities do at airports. Instead, he wore a simple T-shirt, his regular spectacles and a blue baseball cap. Fans onboard were so surprised to see him!
In the post's comment section also, the actor was lauded by many for his 'simplicity'. One, however, jokingly said, "After Thugs of Hindustan Flopped😂" implying his last film Thugs Of Hindostan was such a flop that he can only afford to fly economy now.
There were also some Jet Airways jokes doing rounds such as, "He must b missing jet airways so much" and "I guess Bollywood should come together and buy an aircraft for their needs 😂😂 since they can’t fly economy," post the domestic airline's temporary shut last week.
The Internet can be so funny sometimes!
Aamir Khan announced his next project on his 54th birthday, which is a Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks' classic film Forrest Gump titled Lal Singh Chaddha. Speaking about the film, Aamir had said in an interview, "We have started the prep work on the film. The shoot will start from October. I will be prepping for six months. I have to lose weight. I will be losing 20 kilos. I have to be lean and slim."
