Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh made news last year when they got married in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como on November 14-15. They followed the lead of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli and didn’t give out any details about their functions. They didn’t even invite any celebrity guests to the main functions in Italy. When they did finally release the pictures from the ceremonies after a long wait, we all stopped and ‘ahh-ed’ and ‘aww-ed’.
However, we missed a detail from their wedding and we’re not sure how! Current heartthrobs of the nation Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan were hosting an award show recently (that the dynamic duo attended with their ‘good friends’ Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt) and it was there that we saw that two celebs from Bollywood were actually on the guest list.
The graphic designer who Photoshopped these images needs a special mention – Kartik, holding a thali of ladoos and Vicky as a coolie are the best works we’ve seen since the famous Vanity Fair photoshop fail (where Reese Witherspoon had three legs and Oprah Winfrey had three hands).
This brings back memories from November when many fakes of the DeepVeer wedding were doing the rounds on social media in anticipation of the real pictures. An Instagram profile, Unseen Friend, also got popular last year for editing himself into celebrity images and the results were highly entertaining. In the comment section of Viral’s post, you’ll find that Anand Ahuja has tagged that profile.
Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan had a lot of fun with celebrities during the awards. They convinced Ranbir Kapoor to propose to Alia Bhatt and dance with her on stage and also got Katrina Kaif and Ishan Khatter to shake a leg with them. Doesn’t their vibe remind you of Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s, after Kal Ho Na Ho?
