Varun Dhawan and his girlfriend Natasha Dalal have been spotted together at various events. But for some reason, the actor never went out of his way to confirm the relationship with the designer. They made an appearance together at the Ambani engagement as well. They have reportedly been dating since before Varun began his acting career, six years ago. Finally, the actor decided to confirm the relationship in a recent interview with a leading magazine.
Varun Dhawan spoke about why he kept his relationship away from the limelight, “I didn’t care about all this even before. If you dig up some files from three years back, you’ll see us together at several places. I’ve always been comfortable about it. The idea was to make the other person comfortable. Everyone is not born in the industry. So everyone’s not as excited to be part of the glamour world.”
Apparently, Natasha has been a huge influence in his Bollywood film choices lately and has been encouraging him to do more meaningful cinema. “Actually, I decided to do a film like Badlapur or October because of her. It’s because of her and some of our friends that I do slightly different films. They like such kind of cinema. What’s special about our relationship is that I have someone, who isn’t with me just because I’m an actor. It’s amazing to have someone like that in your life. We bond over each other and that’s the main thing. We’ve known each other for too long, so the connection is deep. It’s like family. It’s always been so,” he said.
So if all is good in paradise, then what are we waiting for! We would love to see this couple tie the knot. And no, we aren’t jumping the gun, Varun admitted that it is on the cards, “I don’t know when. But I’m totally for it for sure.”
Varun also spoke about asking Alia Bhatt for relationship advice and it was hilarious! “No, please! I’ll not take that from her either. She’s the last person I’ll take relationship advice from. One good thing about our friendship is that we don’t discuss those aspects of our lives with each other. Our discussions are around work because both of us are equally driven about our careers. But yes most of the time, we end up making fun of each other.”
