Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor aren’t the only ones who may have pushed off their wedding due to the pandemic. From what we’ve heard, the pandemic also made Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal put a hold on their wedding plans.
And this isn’t just another rumour–we’ve got this information straight from the horse’s mouth!
For the past few years, there have been speculations about this adorable couple’s wedding, but nothing was made official. Now, Varun has shared that he may be getting married to longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal in 2021!
Speaking to a popular publication, Varun Dhawan revealed his 2021 wedding plans with Natasha Dalal and said, “Everyone is talking about this (his marriage) for the last two years. There is nothing concrete right now. There is so much uncertainty in the world right now, but if things settle down (COVID and its impact), then maybe this year. I mean… I am planning for it definitely soon. But let there be more certainty.”
Varun didn’t just spill the beans, he also seems to have put an end to the speculations by giving us all some concrete information and we’re so glad!
Varun Dhawan’s Childhood Love
Most of you might not know this but Varun and Natasha are actually childhood sweethearts! Yep…Varun first met Natasha back when he was in 6th standard and that’s when he fell for her. Adorable, isn’t it?
While we can totally imagine young Varun and Natasha in their school uniform, holding hands…but that’s not really how it happened. Varun had to face multiple rejections from Natasha before she finally said ‘yes’ to him.
Opening up about his childhood love while speaking to Kareena Kapoor on her radio show What Women Want, Varun also made another (possibly unintentional) revelation that raised quite a few eyebrows. Kareena had carefully slipped the word ‘fiancee’ while speaking about Natasha. ‘You’ve been with your fiancee since school days, right?’ Kareena had asked and Varun seemed to have no objections at all as he went on to answer the question.
According to the rumour mill, Varun and Natasha had a secret engagement back in 2018 after which there were speculations about their wedding. And this little *slip of tongue* revelation confirmed whatever doubts we had.
But pandemic or not, we definitely hope to see Varun and Natasha tying the knot in 2021. Now the real question is: when do we get an invite, guys?
