Balika Vadhu and Dil Se Dil Tak actor Sidharth Shukla has been declared the winner of Season 13 of Bigg Boss leaving Asim Riaz, the other finalist, as the first runner up. Sidharth picked up the prestigious trophy and went back home with the whopping prize money of Rs 40 lakhs. With this, the most popular show on Indian TV may have come to an end, but the controversies around it haven't.
Many people are calling Sidharth the 'pre-decided' winner of the show, hence, #BoycottColorsTV has been trending on Twitter for being biased. Remember Dipika Kakar (Sasural Simar Ka actress), a not-so-deserving contestant who lifted the trophy last year? Well, the coincidence is making people think dal mein kuchh kala hai as fans were expecting Asim Riaz to be the winner this season.
It all started with a tweet by Feriha who works in the Creative Team at Colors TV. She posted a video, from right before the announcement of the winner, which clearly indicated that both Asim and Sidharth had got equal votes. Don't believe us? Take a look for yourself!
Video from the control room right before winner announcement. Both Asim & Sidharth got equal votes in live voting but Sid was announced as the Winner. Do u need any more proof that Ss was already decided as Winner @ColorsTV #boycottcolorstv pic.twitter.com/gjBRRjOUGR— Feriha (@ferysays) February 16, 2020
Feriha did not stop here. "The biggest scam in the history of Indian Television," she further posted asking everyone to retweet the video above and 'spread it like fire'. She went on to say how "A deserving winner was chosen as Runner up because Damaad had to be announced as Winner."
Soon after, she posted another tweet announcing her decision to quit her job at Color TV stating 'I can't demean myself being part of a fixed show'. Here's what she wrote:
I have decided to quit my job at @ColorsTV. I had a tremendous time working with the creative department but I can't demean myself being part of a fixed show. The channel is keen on making Siddharth Shukla the Winner despite less votes. Sorry, I can't be part of it. #BiggBoss— Feriha (@ferysays) February 15, 2020
Her tweets started a chain reaction leaving the fans upset and angry with the makers of the show and the channel for being partial towards Sidharth throughout the season. If we were to think about it, while Madhurima Tuli was evicted from the show for hitting Vishal Aditya Singh, Sidharth who pushed Asim on multiple occasions was always forgiven with a lame punishment. Now, Twitterati has been analysing how the entire season went and #PublicKaWinnerAsim hashtag has now taken over social media.
In fact, few ex-BB contestants like Kishwer Merchantt and Gauahar Khan also share the opinion with Asim's fans. They tweeted that the supermodel was more deserving to win the title than Sid Shukla. Take a look at their tweets.
Truly the qualities that a winner should’ve possessed , were in ASIM ! His journey video said it all ! #MyWinnerASIM ......— Gauahar Khan (@GAUAHAR_KHAN) February 15, 2020
What's more? People also complained that they were unable to vote for their favourite contestant. Let us take you through some of the tweets posted by Asim Riaz fans.
