Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The storyline revolves around the life of an alcoholic surgeon, who heads on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover gets married to someone else. Sandeep Vanga’s Kabir Singh is the official remake of superhit Telugu film, Arjun Reddy, and is slated to release on June 21. The much-awaited teaser of the film is finally out and all Shahid Kapoor fans seem to have lost their calm.
Didn’t Shahid’s character in the movie remind you of Tommy Singh from Udta Punjab? The actor portrays the role of an angsty heartbroken lover with a drinking problem. Not only is Kabir Singh an alcoholic, but is also dealing with severe drug addiction. Shahid also posted the teaser on Twitter and captioned it, “I’m not a rebel without a cause. This is ME ! #kabirsingh”
Soon after the makers dropped the teaser, Shahid’s wife Mira Rajput took to Instagram to share her excitement and reacted to her hubby’s next film. She shared the teaser and wrote, ”Boom 👊🏻#whattawowow”.
Shahid also got a huge shoutout from the original Arjun Reddy – actor Vijay Deverakonda, who shared his response on Twitter. Vijay tweeted: “Kabir Singh! Sending my love and best wishes to my men @imvangasandeep, @ShahidKapoor & the lady @Advani_Kiara.” Shahid replied to Vijay while addressing him as ‘brother’: “#kabirsingh calling #arjunreddy wownwownwown wadawaown. Big love brother.”
