There is something about Sabyasachi and his creations that has the entire country swooning. His lehengas and sarees don't even come under fashion, they're an art piece by themselves. Every time we see a bride in a Sabya lehenga, there's a special place in our hearts that starts thumping faster. If this sounds familiar and you too are obsessed with the ace designer, here's another dulhan who wowed us with her bridal look.
Meet Shikha Khetwani, who looked beyond gorgeous on her D-day wearing a white and pink Sabyasachi lehenga. More than anything, it was her bright smile and cute dimples that we can't look away from.
The lehenga was white with pink floral print all over with a chunni of the same pattern. The blouse was embellished with gold gota work along with detailed pink threadwork which tied the entire look together.
Her hair was tied up in a floral bun and done by the super talented Ritika Kadam. Her makeup was flawless along with blush pink cheeks and pink lipstick to finish it off and the artist was none other than celebrity-approved, Mickey Contractor.
The wedding was a destination one in Sri Lanka and the bride made it special and how. Her entry was on a boat. Does it get more luxe than that? *swoons*
She wore a heavy gold and diamond necklace as her statement jewellery piece and dangling earrings along with a maangtika too. She went for a relatively small chooda along with pearl kadas to complete the look.
For the sangeet function, Shikha decided to go a bit indo-western with an all-black outfit. She wore a blouse with a plunging neckline and balloon sleeves and looked hawt while doing it. She even wore a diamond and ruby necklace to finish it off.
Her hair was left in beachy waves proving that brides don't always have to tie up their hair during shaadi functions. The dulha-dulhan even colour coordinated in black for this function and looked classy and stunning at the same time.
For her pool party, Shikha wore a Sabyasachi paisley dress. We clearly know who her fave designer is, don't we? She tied her hair in a high braid and used a string of pearls as a hair tie. Genius!
The #shikgothertan wedding was designed and planned by Weddings By Purple Chariot and they did a fine job. The photography was done by one of the best in the business, Isrrani Photography and kudos to them for getting these beautiful shots.
Sending all our love to the newlyweds. Shikha, you looked like an absolute dream!
