Pre-wedding shoots have become an important part of weddings today. I mean, what’s the point of having a wedding without an exotic pre-wedding shoot that the world has never seen before or a kickass wedding hashtag. Am I right or am I right?
People plan their pre-wedding shoots with more diligence than they plan their D-day nowadays. From a fort in Rajasthan to a beach in Goa to a doughnut shop, couples are going off-beat with pre-wedding shoots to nail the shaadi trend.
One such couple in Kerala – Tijin Thankachen and Silpa – decided to do their’s on the Pamba river at Kadammanitta in Pathanamthitta district but things took a hilarious turn, much like their boat.

The couple sat in a canoe and were posing for some plandid (planned candid) shots for the photographers when they lost balance and fell off the canoe into the river. The whole accident incident was recorded on video and is now going viral.
When the photographer urged them to kiss, the groom-to-be leaned towards his bride-to-be, the canoe flipped and knocked them off it. Everyone including the couple of the hour was seen laughing afterwards.
After the video got over 1.5 lakh views on their Facebook page, the organiser of the photo shoot said they did not think it would go viral like this. Talking to the Indian Express, Bincy Nirmalan from Weddplanner Wedding Studio revealed:
“To be frank that did not happen haphazardly. Our team had pre-planned it without letting it be known to the couple. We wanted to shoot something funny for our personal website and the couple had invited us only for a normal shoot.”
The fact that after knowing the truth the couple didn’t lose temper at the company and, in fact, couldn’t stop laughing is commendable! “The couple kept laughing after their fall believing it was an accident. We revealed it to them after the shoot, and they said that they really enjoyed it,” he added.

As they say, all’s well that ends well. The couple has gone viral with this impromptu but impressive ‘turn’ of events and is very much enjoying the attention. And so are we!
