You Won’t Be Able To Look Away From These *Weird* Colour Pencil Nails!

Crayon nails?! Say WHAAAT? Just a few days ago, jelly nails broke the internet and today, this! As strange as these look, you've got the appreciate the effort that went into doing them. The name of the artist, you ask? Well, it's a Russian-based Instagram user called @nail_sunny who currently has a whopping 1.7 million followers.

Before we show you the tutorial, you might want to take a seat back to admire or cringe at the picture from afar.

If you take a closer look, you'll notice that excluding the thumb, acrylic nails were sculpted, shaped and designed to look like pencils. @nail_sunny used transparent nail polish as a base coat. Then played with lighter and darker shades of colour to give each nail dimension. A brownish-nude shade is painted at each tip to resemble the wooden part of the coloured crayon pencil. It doesn't just end there - the nail tech then grabs a bunch of coloured pencils, shaves them and chops off the tip. The crayon bit is then glued to each nail to give it a real feel. The best part is that you can actually colour and draw with your fingers!

Our Final Thoughts:

Honestly, we still have mixed feelings about this trend. What do you think about this nail art masterpiece? Yay or Nay?
